Well, I finally made it, first solo! Flew a Blanik L-23 at Seminole
Lake Gliderport. Uneventful except for the lack of sleep the night
before :)

I believe it's a "Pawnee".

BT, yes, cross posted to rec.aviation.soaring as they helped me find
the glider port last year to get me started.
