My final flight as owner in N1943L - Video

Sold my airplane so this is the final video with me owning Sundowner
One Niner Four Three Lima.... Video speaks for itself. It was poetic
justice for this flight as the forecast the evening before was to be
severe clear and I woke up to ceilings of 400 feet. Nice way to
remember my last flight as owner.

This doesn't mean I will stop flying as I am transitioning to glider.
I will rent as needed to maintain currency in single engine or act as
safety pilot for IFR pilots.

Wow, you're serious! I saw in the comments that you had to sell because
your mechanic got forced off the field, that's most unfortunate. I
haven't had to sell a plane yet but I can't imagine it's fun to do.
Seems like it must have been pretty straightforward for you since it
happened so quickly, at least.

Not easy is right Mike but not in the actual sense of selling as that
went real smooth.

The upside is that it was a decision I made rather then a decision
made for me like losing medical, can't afford or aother scenerios.

I put it on the market on the 19th, letter of intent on the 22nd,
prebuy inspection on the 26th and closed yesterday. Good planes won't
stay on the market long.

Sad to see it go. Been watching the groups over the last few years,
and always loved to see you come in with a video post. Good luck with
the glider training, looks like a whole new adventure.

Best of luck,
Mike

Sad! Hopefully the new owner will appreciate the airplane as much as
you have, and continue to share the enjoyment of flying.
