Hey all,

I'm considering purchasing the Lowrance AirMap 2000c or the Garmin
296. I would like to know what the mapping capabilities are for these
units.

Can you export gps data (lat/long, altitude, airspeed, etc) from these
units into google earth or something of the like?

Thanks for any opinions and details you can offer!

Actually, it appears that you can export this file as a kml file and
see the altitude.

Does anyone know what was used to create this?

Many GPS downloader programs can save to igc or kml files.
Google "GPSDump".

Also Google "IGC Flight Replay", that program will play the downloaded
igc file over google earth.
