Discussion:
Are most airplanes rented wet or dry?

I has been many years since I was a student, or since I rented
airplanes locally. Fortunately I get my flying time in without
renting aircraft now days.

I was looking up airplane rental costs, and a friend told me
that the numbers I was coming up with were looking low, and that
those numbers were for rental without fuel.

Has the industry now gone to mostly a "dry" rental as specified
on their web sites and such? It used to be "wet" when I was renting.

I don't know what is generally the case, but the two rental places at the
airport I frequent quote "wet" rental rates on their web sites.

The club out of which I fly rents the planes wet as well. The only
dry rates I've ever seen were for partnerships - although I haven't
really looked around all that much.

Seems to be the same out my way too.

M16 in MS rents dry but that's the only airport in my local area I
know of that elects that rental method.
